Stores open on Thanksgiving 2009

There will be several stores open on Thanksgiving 2009 with limited and all-day hours, so if you’ve got to get out for some shopping here’s where you might go.
Walmart is open today on Thanksgiving day 2009, from 7am to 7PM in most areas. Many Walmart stores will be open for their full 24 hours, so be sure to check by calling your local store.
Kmart is one of the other retail stores you’ll find open Thanksgiving day. Kmart’s store hours will be from 7AM to 9PM, but they’ll be offering some deals prior to Black Friday.
Clothing retailers, Old Navy, Banana Republic and Gap, will be open as well. Old Navy opens its doors Thanksgiving day for shoppers from 12 noon to 7PM, while Gap will be open from 9AM to 9PM. Banana Republic’s hours will be from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Additionally, several stores will be opening at 12 AM midnight tonight including Toys R Us, Bath & Body and Victoria’s Secret stores.
So while there are just a handful of stores open on Thanksgiving day 2009, they do offer some variety to shoppers. You’ll probably find convenience gas station shops, and the traditional fast food places like McDonald’s, Burger King, Wendy’s and others open as well in case you need to get a snack or meal, or even pick up gift certificates as stocking stuffers. Prepare for the big day on Friday, November 27, 2009 though if you want to find the real deals with the 2009 Black Friday sales!
