Shaniya Davis Funeral Video

Watch the video of the funeral of 5-year-old Shaniya Davis that was kidnapped, raped and chocked to death last week. The Shaniya Davis funeral took place at 03:00 p.m. today, at the Manna Church, Fayetteville, North Carolina. Bradley Lockhart, the victim’s father was offered hugs and condolences by many present on the occasion.

For those who couldn’t attend it and also missed the live coverage of funeral of a 5-year-old girl called Shaniya Davis, a video of the same is attached here. The funeral ceremony was held at the famous 5117 Cliffdale Road Fayetteville Church ‘Manna’ located in North Carolina. A Web service had covered the funeral live today that was opened for all to attend.

Before the start of the sad proceedings, various pictures of both Shaniya Davis as well Bradley Lockhart (her father), were exhibited through an overhead projector on a screen, big enough for the people to clearly see the images. It was around 03:00 p.m. when the funeral services properly begun.

“I am depending on you” was the song that opened the proceedings. It was a perfect song as its theme suggests the strong belief and dependence on Jesus Christ at the time of trouble and hardships of life. Poor Shaniya’s death, we all know, incurred in extremely painful circumstances. During the service, one thing was highlighted purposefully; Bradley Lockhart’s faith and trust upon Jesus Christ.

Following the song, there was a recitation of some verses from a “Biblical” passage that focused on Shaniya’s life in heaven, where she’ll be living without any pain or sorrow, from now on. This was followed by a prayer for the victim’s family to be blessed and provided with strength by the Lord.

Later, a children’s choir offered another song prior to the reflections by Shaniya’s several relatives. Towards the end “My life with Shaniya” a poem, was delivered by Carey, one of Shaniya’s aunts. Several mourners surrounded Bradley Lockhart and offered him condolences before leaving the premises.
