Google’s Popeye the Sailorman Logo
December 8th, 2009 | by admin |Google’s Popeye the Sailorman Logo.
If you go to Google today, you will see a Google Doodle for Popeye, Popeye the Sailorman. The logo is to celebrate Popeye’s creator, E. C. Segar’s 115th birthday, which is today. He was born on December 8, 1894 and created Popeye, which debuted on January 17, 1929.
It is a fun and lovable Doodle, which is why Google made the Doodle. As I reported at the Search Engine Roundtable, there are some who are upset that Google did not have a logo for Pearl Harbor Day, which was yesterday. But Pearl Harbor was a very sad day and Google does not like to create Doodles for sad events.
