The Biggest Loser winner was revealed during the live finale broadcast of the weight-loss series’ eighth season on Tuesday night and Danny Cahill was crowned the winner of The Biggest Loser season 8 after losing a whopping 239 lbs on the NBC reality show.
Oklahoma land surveyor/musician Danny Cahill started the competition at 430 lbs and lost 239 pounds for a 55.58% weight-loss percentage, claiming the show’s $250,000 grand prize.
Previously eliminated contestant Rebecca Meyer won the at-home weight loss prize of $100,000, dropping an amazing 139 pounds (49.82 percent of her body weight)!
Shay, the heaviest contestant on the show, received an offer to return to the show for next year’s season nine finale. Sponsored by Subway, the 30-year-old social worker will receive $1000 for every pounds she loses in the next few months.
