CHICAGO, Oct 16 – The Chicago Bears have acquired defensive end Gaines Adams from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in exchange for a 2010 second-round draft choice, the team said on Friday on its website (www.chicagobears.com.)

Adams, the fourth pick in the 2007 draft, appeared in 37 games in three seasons.

Chicago has now traded away their first two selections in the 2010 draft. Their first-round pick was part of the agreement used to acquire quarterback Jay Cutler from Denver.
